IBASE Technology has introduced the ASB110-PI900, a compact industrial computing system designed to support local data processing and artificial intelligence applications in installations where available space is limited.
Measuring 140 × 95 × 60 mm, the system combines Intel Core Ultra processors with multiple connectivity and mounting options. Its compact design allows system integrators to install computing equipment close to cameras, sensors and connected devices.
Although the product is primarily presented for industrial equipment, smart kiosks and retail applications, compact edge computing platforms may also be relevant to transport technology integrators developing passenger information, terminal monitoring and connected infrastructure solutions.
The ASB110-PI900 incorporates IBASE's PI900F PICO-ITX motherboard and is available with Intel Core Ultra 7 155U or Core Ultra 5 125U processors.
The system supports up to 48 GB of DDR5-5600 memory, providing processing resources for local data handling, multitasking and supported AI inference workloads.
Edge computing allows data to be processed near its source rather than relying entirely on remote servers. Depending on the application, this approach can reduce the need to transfer all raw data to cloud infrastructure.
The system provides several interfaces for connecting external equipment:
IBASE offers desktop and VESA mounting options, with wall and DIN-rail installation also available depending on configuration.
These options allow integrators to adapt the system to different equipment layouts without requiring a large computing enclosure.
Compact computing hardware can form part of intelligent transportation infrastructure, including passenger information terminals, connected kiosks and monitoring equipment.
In such applications, local processing may support the integration of cameras, sensors, displays and network-connected devices.
However, IBASE has not announced a bus-specific deployment or confirmed that the ASB110-PI900 is certified for onboard bus applications.
Its published specifications indicate an operating temperature range of 0°C to 55°C with specified airflow conditions. Vehicle integration would therefore require additional evaluation of environmental conditions, power supply compatibility, vibration resistance and relevant transport standards.
The ASB110-PI900 expands IBASE's range of compact embedded computing platforms for industrial and intelligent systems.
Its combination of small dimensions, Intel Core Ultra processing, memory capacity and connectivity options is intended for applications requiring local processing in limited installation space.
System integrators should assess the hardware against the requirements of their intended application, particularly where additional environmental or vehicle-specific validation is necessary.
